Will there be a bloodbath when we leave Iraq? Imagine.

By Rrrandy Wurst | May 3, 2007

Bush & Party, Inc. say we can’t leave Iraq now because there will be a blood-bath, chaos, and worst of all, we might lose access to our oil under their sand. Dubya never mentions that losing a war is something he doesn’t want attached to his name. As if he hasn’t been a loser many times before.

Bloodbath? Chaos when American soldiers leave Iraq? Isn’t our presence in their country, armed to the teeth, shooting their people already causing a bloodbath and chaos (Def: great disorder and confusion)? As for the oil, it is not beyond imagining Dubya somewhere in the bowels of the White House or his Crawford neo-Ranch stomping on his cowboy hat and crying out, “I want it, I need it, it’s mine!”

We are the big burr under the Iraqi’s saddle. They don’t want us patrolling their streets any more than we would want them patrolling ours. Imagine the relief they would feel with us gone. Sure, the Sunnis and Shias would still hate each other, but what does that have to do with us? They hated each other before we invaded Iraq to remove their leader, Saddam, which we did, killing his sons as a bonus. (Granted, they weren’t nice people.) But is the United States in the business of messing around in other peoples’ family feuds? Doesn’t that add to the confusion and disorder (chaos)?

Where was the feared blood-bath in Vietnam when we left? Didn’t happen. What happened was they set up a government we didn’t particularly like. But, hey, it wasn’t our country and no dominoes fell threatening the corporate and personal well-being of us more or less happy denizens of the Free World. What happened is this: I went into a nice little shop in my hometown of Papoose and bought a Mother’s Day present for my sweet Suzette. It was a soft and gorgeous blanket made in Vietnam.

Imagine that.

Oops! Rrrandy forgot that stuff about Dubya saving his face and his oil. As Rosanna would say, “Never mind.”
